Medical Receptionist – Full Time

Position Type: Full Time | 34–40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 5:30pm
Pay: $17.00 – $24.00/hour

Primary Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact, delivering the highest level of patient care
- Listen to and address patient concerns and needs
- Answer telephone calls using a multi-line phone system
- Schedule patient appointments via electronic medical software
- Communicate with patients in person, by phone, email, and fax
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out
- Explain treatment plan costs to patients
- Collect payments (cash pay office)
- Perform other clerical duties as requested
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of medical office experience (required)
- Prior sales or customer service experience (required)
- Excellent communication skills — both phone and in-person
- Strong understanding of delivering exceptional customer service
- Prior experience with electronic scheduling software strongly recommended
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar front desk role
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills
- Problem-solving ability and team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records a plus
Experience
- Front desk / medical office: 1 year (Required)
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
