Athletic Trainer (ATC) – Full Time
We are looking for an ATC to join our cutting-edge organization, ranked among the best in Colorado for sports medicine. This is an excellent opportunity with a world-class organization offering state-of-the-art non-surgical options for injuries.
The Athletic Trainer will work in close conjunction with our providers and current ATC on staff, serving the practice across a variety of duties — including welcoming patients, conducting therapy sessions, helping patients understand prescribed therapies, performing secondary evaluations, and developing therapy plans. Time will be divided between clinical and administrative tasks centered on patient care.
Position Type: Full Time | 34–40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 5:30pm
Pay: $19.25 – $26.00/hour

Athletic Training Requirements
- National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) Certification required
- State of Colorado Athletic Training license required
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, or a related life science field
- Minimum 1 year experience in a physician office setting preferred (not required)
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management abilities
- Ability to communicate patient progression and status to Dr. Hecker, Nurse Practitioner, and ATC staff
- Proficiency in upper and lower extremity evaluations
- Ability to learn and consistently perform all in-office modalities and treatment protocols
- Daily communication with therapy techs regarding treatment plans
Athletic Training Duties
- Conduct patient therapy sessions
- Help patients understand the process and reasoning behind prescribed therapies
- Monitor patients and perform secondary evaluations
- Assist in developing individualized therapy plans
- Support both clinical and administrative patient care tasks
Medical Assisting Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Confidence in performing musculoskeletal evaluations
- Prior experience with health technologies and modalities (e-stim, ultrasound, laser, etc.) preferred
- Experience in sports medicine preferred
- Prior experience with electronic health records (EMR) strongly recommended
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and team-oriented attitude with a positive, enthusiastic demeanor
Medical Assisting Duties
- Greet and triage patients; collect history and medications
- Document patient information in EMR
- Provide patient education as instructed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of procedure rooms and designated supplies per protocol
- Assist physician and nurse practitioner with procedures
- Coordinate communication with other physician offices and physical therapists
